Florida Villa People -Orlando Villa near Walt Disney World
Top Sun-Drenched Locations For 2011
If you are a sun seeker then there are some particular regions that you should be pencilling in for 2011. There cannot be a better way of putting the damp and unpleasantness of the recent British winter behind you than looking forward to a lovely warm holiday next summer. There are still plenty of great deals on offer and if you are prepared to negotiate with your travel agent, you will be surprised at the additional extras you can get thrown in.
Orlando holidays have never stopped being a popular choice. Florida's theme parks are a perennial draw with Walt Disney World remaining its vice-like grip on the dreams of every child under 15, and the adults seduced with the attractions on offer at Universal Studios and SeaWorld as well. If you need a bit of break from all the excitement and adventure, then try relaxing with some of the spa and sports activities on offer at the resort location hotels.
If you fancy a really luxurious time for summer, whilst you are in the Gulf Coast you can take a quick hop over to the Caribbean. You can arrange a cruise or even another flight out from Florida or Miami, and have an amazing time in the tropical paradise of the Caribbean islands on top of your fun-packed trip to the USA. Although Caribbean holidays are a famous way to get a guaranteed sunny holiday, you can combine the clear skies and amazing beaches and scenery on the islands with other objectives too - they make a perfect wedding or honeymoon location and the islands are great for sports enthusiasts too. You can spend time hiking around the tropical interior slopes enjoying the amazing views of the island and coast, or plunge into the warm seas and explore some of the vibrant reefs.
Perhaps you prefer to spend more time exploring the sunny USA? In that case, Las Vegas holidays are a grand way to round off a trip to the States. With the flexibility of fly drive holidays, you can plan your own route through Nevada to get to Vegas, or else follow a suggested route with accommodation indicated along the way. Once in Vegas, see the famous hotels, the famous "strip" on which so many casinos are located, and even have a quick flutter on one of the games. But remember, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!

Frequently Asked Questions...
I'm from the UK - should I buy an Annual Pass for Walt Disney World?
I am visiting 'The World' for 15 days and am thinking of getting an Annual Pass over a 14-day UK ticket. We are staying in a villa off site and I am thinking that the parking will help negate the difference in price. It would also give me the option of going back next year. What's your opinions?
Answer:
When you consider the price of 2 annual vacations, the annual pass makes a very attractive offer (for example, visit in Aug 09 and then again in July 10). If you are only going once, it gets a little dicey, however. Here are the numbers:
14-day Ultimate Ticket is 235 pounds, or roughly $388 US. Annual pass is $500, unless I'm missing a groovy UK deal. 14 days of $12 parking adds another $168, pushing your 14-day ticket cost up to $556 if you're by yourself. This would make the annual pass cheaper... if you're by yourself. I'm guessing, however, that you're probably not visiting WDW all alone, so let's run the numbers for 2.
2 Ultimate Tickets: 776
14 days of parking: 168
Total for 2: 944 ($56 LESS than annual tickets)
If you go with one child and one adult, it's the same thing- $60 cheaper with the tickets than with the pass. The more people you put in the car, the cheaper it gets. Just for fun, here's a family of 5:
2 adult Ultimate Tickets: 776
3 child (under 10) Ultimate Tickets: 1020
14 days of parking: 168
Total: $1964
2 adult and 3 child annual passes: $2323 ($359 or about 218 pounds more expensive than the Ultimate Tickets and paying parking)
HOWEVER, if you do come back within a calendar year, your expenses could be halved if you already have the annual passes. If that is the case, the annual passes would be a fantastic value. Otherwise, I'd get the Ultimate Tickets and spend your savings on a couple of t-shirts. Best of luck!
