How do you pray when you are out?
I am a very very new Muslim from a western country. I am learning more daily but this question still confuses me. I seem to get different contradicting opinions from different people. Say for instance you were at the mall all day, or on your child's field trip, or in college, or visiting an amusement park how would you possible find somewhere appropriate to make sure you can get clean AND pray? Before I converted I remember seeing Islamics all the time at places like Disney world, Six flags, Kings Dominion, universal studios etc. I don't understand how they could possibly get clean in those crowded public bathrooms that usually have a line a mile long just to get in. Finding a place to put down a carpet and pray seems even more impossible. Please reply and let me know how you would deal with these specific different situations. Thanks! Ps. Answer:
You could always go to a nearby restroom and do wudhu there, or do wudhu before you leave your house or accommodation. OR if water was honestly no where in site to be found and you need to be cleansed you could do tayammum.
And then find a spot, it could be anywhere you wish. Face towards the Qibla and perform your prayer. You could easily put your jacket or any sort of mat where your forehead will touch the ground so it's clean. And you could also buy those little compasses which show where the direction of the Qiblah is.
If there's a will there's a way. And may Allah grant you a place in Paradise In Shaa Allah and guide you through out your life.
